The club will assist with the Forsyth Christmas parade on December 5th, by providing communications during set up and actual parade route.
Friday 11/13/09 ARES members installed and tested newly purchased HF antennas on the roof of Skaggs Hospital. TLARC-ARES staffs a station that includes radios in the HF and VHF bands as well as other digital formats. These antenna's are mounted temporary for quick deployment from storage.

Don NA9X (TLARC EC) recently attended a communications conference held in St Charles, MO.
Representatives from several groups ( Home Land Security, FEMA, Public Service, Nation Weather Service, and Amateur Radio) presented information about their activities in the area of interoperability should a state wide or national emergency occur.
The Public Service groups are studying a more unique frequency for all to access for during an emergency.
The Amateur Radio presentation centered on improved coordination of Public Service and Amateur radio clubs.
Saturday 10/24/09 members of the club assisted the Forsyth Boys and Girls Club clean the hiking trail that travels close by in the Forsyth city, and DNR 90 acre park. 11/14/2008 members of the TLARC installed equipment at Skaggs hospital. That included packet, VHF, HF radios and related antenna systems. The equipment allows the hospital to communicate with other area emergency locations should there be a catastrophic event.HF antenna's for 75m and 40m were added July 2009 by members. The setup is horizontal dipoles made from hamsticks. This replaces the long wire dipoles that were difficult to set up and resonate.
