On going emergency observations.
Taney County Emergency Management prays you observe the following DO's and DON’Ts if you are traveling on county roads during or immediately following the rain event.
- Do watch for rising water levels
- Do listen to local radio or weather radios for important weather-related information
- Do not move barricades blocking flooded roads. Most people going around them end up needing rescue or dying
- Do not drive or walk through flowing water on the roads. As little as 6 inches of water can cause your car to stall or sweep you off your feet.
