Our club was formed in 1972 by a group of local amateurs to promote the use of the hobby.

Their mission then and ours now continues the concept of providing learning for new "Hams" and further promotion of local homeland assistance. VE testing is available through out the year.

Club News

The club actively supports the ARES segment of amateur radio.

The ARES group has recently acquired several 2 way radios donated by the ambulance district to further the Home Land security effort.

The ARES group maintains radios in locations where potential emergency setups would be required in the event of a serious disaster. i.e. The Skaggs hospital and the emergency communications trailer.

Several club members attended the National Weather Service "Sky warn" weather spotters class held February , 2009.  The class was a mix of public service, firefighters, and emergency response personel.

Recent activities
The ARES group recently presented a new Power point slide show to club members and local public service employees discribing the Amateur orgination and how we can interelate to homeland situations.
